In loco parentis

 

The Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in Karnail Singh & Ors., V/s State of Haryana,  vide order dated 31.5.2019, held that:-

29. The entire animal kingdom including avian and aquatic are declared as legal entities having a distinct persona with corresponding rights, duties and liabilities of a living person. All the citizens throughout the State of Haryana are hereby declared persons in loco parentis as the human face for the welfare/protection of animals.“Live and let live.”

The Hon'ble Uttaranchal High Court in Narayan Dutt Bhatt vs Union Of India And Others vide order dated 4 July, 2018, held that:-

99 (A). The entire animal kingdom including avian and aquatic are declared as legal entities having a distinct persona with corresponding rights, duties and liabilities of a living person. All the citizens throughout the State of Uttarakhand are hereby declared persons in loco parentis as the human face for the welfare/protection of animals.
