Considering the above a complaint was recorded in complaint register maintained at Karjat station's assistant station master's office. The complaint number is 364134 dt. 21-08-2018. The Refreshment Room manager said that the board is wrong and that he has permission to sell non-vegetarian food from the concerned railway authorities. He also said that the same is true for R R Vegetarian at Neral and Kalyan station. A little searching on the internet lead to an online article in the Times of India. According to the said article cooking and serving non-vegetarian food in a Vegetarian Refreshment Room is not allowed , the article references a reply given to a RTI application by Central Public Information Officer of Ministry of Railways, New Delhi.
